One more day to go and every one knows that all good things must come to an end.
Today we are looking at all of the adaptations of Charles Dickens' classic, A Christmas Carol.
Every version of the movies has some parts added or removed from their adaptations of the book. So, I'm not going to explain it all. Instead, I'm giving you my thoughts on them.
First off from 1938,
This is second in line to being the shortest version of the bunch I'm talking about.
The story is on Scrooge an old man who is cold at heart around Christmas time. and the ghost of his old partner haunts him and warns him about three spirits that will come to change his heart around the holiday season.
Second, We got Mickey's Christmas Carol
Imagine this book and being squeezed down to a 25 minute short filled with All of the animated Disney characters at that time. Yea, very interesting sight isn't it? Out of all of the Christmas shorts I've seen, I actually liked this one around this time.
Third from 1986.
George C. Scott plays the role of Ebeneezer Scrooge and of course is visited by three ghosts. George does an unbelievable job playing Scrooge and his performance alone is something worth the watch every year.
Fourth we got The Muppets Christmas Carol.
It's hard for me to explain this except for Christmas Carol with the Muppets.
Fifth, We have the latest from 2009 featuring Jim Carrey who plays not one but 4 different people in this. and most of the movie is scary as crap the first time watching it. Seriously, was Disney willing to scare out of our Yuletide stockings?!?
sixth and finally we got, Scrooged featuring Bill Muray.
It's a modern take on the classic but making it a little modern. For instance, it takes place at a TV network and it has a lot of hilarious moments. I can't describe how funny the movie is one of those you have to see it type of those movies.
Well, Let's see tomorrow what it is we got that I watch on Christmas Day
