Frozen Review

OK, so I have just come from the theaters from seeing the newest Disney movie Frozen. and how is it...

It the most beautiful movie I've saw this year!

But in all honesty, It on my list of my all-time favorite movies.

The premise is a princess is getting coordinated and that princess is Elsa. Her sister Anna, is very pleased with this and has met a guy and wants to merry but her sister won't allow it. But Anna finds out her sister has the ability to make snow appear out of no where after ticking her off as Elsa hides up in the mountains. Thus Anna is after her to get her back.

I honestly don't know where to begin with this. The characters were animated pretty well and the ranges of emotions that the girls did really work out in this. The story is some of the finest I've ever seen on the big screen. As for the musical numbers, They are brilliant I loved, Let it go, Reindeer(s) are Better than People and Love is an Open Door.

Before the movie began, Their was a Mickey Mouse short that dealt with Pete after Minnie for the 12th time and the funny thing is it begins like an old cartoon but then when Mickey is off the screen it's suddenly it's like one of those cartoons that breaks the 4th wall. It's pretty funny and I did like it.

Honestly, don't take my word for it, go see it. It's filled with a lot of good laughs and some really good musical numbers that won't disappoint the adults and the kids.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 28

Hello everyone and Today is Christmas and I got the final Christmas special to tell you guy all about.

If most of you are familiar with me, you all know I'm a fan of a Canadian comedy that ran from 1991 to 2006. If you haven't figured it out yet... It's The Red Green Show.

Yes, one of my comedic influences made Christmas specials for their show. But Not one, but two episodes.

That episode is It's A Wonderful Red Green Christmas.

This was the first Christmas special from S and S Productions that made it a tradition to watch the special every year on PBS.

If you understand what goes on in this show, then you'll figure out what happens in this.

I have a lot of favorite parts to this including Handyman Corner. We got Red talking about what Christmas means to him, Harold making a 365 day chain til Christmas chain and Red does the some thing except making the chains metal instead of paper, Red building a one horse open sleigh out of a car, Bill and Red getting a tree for Christmas, Harold teaching kids how to peak inside a present resulting in a hilarious ending, Ranger Gord telling a story of how he wished he didn't get struck by lightning, Red and Harold telling the Night Before Christmas (in style of the show.) and A lot of configuring Christmas stuff like Decorating a tree with tinsel with a canon, finding the bulb that burnt out and one of his member tellign a fictional war story on how he invented Christmas lights.

As you can tell, I really love this special the most and I always look forward to seeing it every year around this time.

So, what are you doing here looking at this. Go and enjoy Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate. Be with your family or something.

Happy Holiday and here's to hoping your Futures are bright and fun. I know mine is already.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 27

One more day to go and every one knows that all good things must come to an end.

Today we are looking at all of the adaptations of Charles Dickens' classic, A Christmas Carol.

Every version of the movies has some parts added or removed from their adaptations of the book. So, I'm not going to explain it all. Instead, I'm giving you my thoughts on them.

First off from 1938,
This is second in line to being the shortest version of the bunch I'm talking about.

The story is on Scrooge an old man who is cold at heart around Christmas time. and the ghost of his old partner haunts him and warns him about three spirits that will come to change his heart around the holiday season.

Second, We got Mickey's Christmas Carol

Imagine this book and being squeezed down to a 25 minute short filled with All of the animated Disney characters at that time. Yea, very interesting sight isn't it? Out of all of the Christmas shorts I've seen, I actually liked this one around this time.

Third from 1986.

George C. Scott plays the role of Ebeneezer Scrooge and of course is visited by three ghosts. George does an unbelievable job playing Scrooge and his performance alone is something worth the watch every year.

Fourth we got The Muppets Christmas Carol.

It's hard for me to explain this except for Christmas Carol with the Muppets.

Fifth, We have the latest from 2009 featuring Jim Carrey who plays not one but 4 different people in this. and most of the movie is scary as crap the first time watching it. Seriously, was Disney willing to scare out of our Yuletide stockings?!?

sixth and finally we got, Scrooged featuring Bill Muray.

It's a modern take on the classic but making it a little modern. For instance, it takes place at a TV network and it has a lot of hilarious moments. I can't describe how funny the movie is one of those you have to see it type of those movies.

Well, Let's see tomorrow what it is we got that I watch on Christmas Day

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 26

When I was talking about a legendary writer, I was talking about John Hughes and today we are talking about the two Christmas movies that makes you laugh and feel the spirit at the same time.

Those two are...

Home Alone.

released in 1990, Macaulay Culkin stars in the role of Kevin McCallister as he wishes that their is no one else to bother him all because they think hes nothing but a distraction (when really they were going to France). and now, the mother is on a quest to go to Kevin for the holidays. But, Kevin has big plans on him as two bandits are planing to break into his house and steal things.

I give this film credit, it did introduce me to John Hughes and the work he did back before this like, Sixteen Candles. The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. This person had some really great work but halfway in the 90's I felt like John had lost his mojo in movie making with, Flubber and Home Alone 3. Luckily, we aren't looking at the third film. the next film we are looking at is...

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

Taking place 1 year after the events of the last movie, Kevin's family is this time going to Florida to spend the holidays at. But, Kevin gets on the wrong plane that's heading for New York as he has his dad's credit card and a load of cash that he decides to stay at the most expensive hotel the film can bring us. But, Marv and Harry have escaped prison and headed to New York to this time steal money from a toy shop that's giving the money to fund a Children's Hospitial as Kevin goes his uncles place and tricks it out into a trap.

For this movie, I think little bits of the first movie was rewritten into this. But is the movie bad? Well, not really. I see this movie to be an interesting sequel, not the greatest but it's something worth watching once a year.

This is where I stop on Home Alone because 3, 4 and 5 are really a waste of time and not worth the ratings the network needs.

Well, 2 days let and I reveal the final movie I watched and then I get back into watching regular movies.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 25

I going to update this further on, but for the moment. Here's today's film...

Elf.

A funny Will Ferrell movie before I even knew him.

He plays the role of Buddy that one night want into Santa's bag and lived for 30 years in the north pole. He later finds out about his father and decides to trek into New York where all of the hyjinks ensue.

This movie was funny from the start to the finish and even Will brings a lot of humor to the role when it comes to learning what its like to be human.

I give this 4 plates of spaghetti with maple syrup.

Next, we are looking at movies based on specials that were remade for a new generation.

First, The Grinch.

Many people has considered that they find the movie to be a guilty pleasure and... I can see where they go from here. Again, this movie airs every year on ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas Marathon. so what is the point of me explaining the plot if you saw it on ABC Family? Well, I like to explain things most of the time.

The Grinch (played by Jim Carrey) is a grump who doesn't like Whoville and Christmas is  out to make the town feel crabby about Christmas. Imagine the original book and short I reviewed a while back and added an hour and five minutes to the length.

When I was a Child, I found the movie to be okay and the opinion has long changed with every viewing. Jim does a good job in the role and also being one with the makeup and costume when he is preforming. Though, most of the people that had upper lips most of the time looked like demon possessed Hungry Hungry Hippos.

The rating I give 3 and a half dogs with an antler tied to their heads.

Now finally before I give this a Rest,

A remake based on the Rankin/Bass Special that came in 1998.

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer The Movie.

I'll do a little comparison with the special later on. So, here the story.

Rudolph is born with a red nose as most try to get use to this situation. a subplot is revealed that two of Santa's elves accidentally crash into Stormella's statues and Santa is forced not to use her bridge because if they do, she'll bury the North Pole in the biggest storm she has no control of.

A lot of things are completely different when it comes to story and characters.

For instance,
Rudolph's father in this is Blitzen when in the special it's Donner
Their is no elf wanting to be a dentist or the island of misfit toys, instead we got Slyly and Leonard (played by Eric Idle and Bob Newheart)
and like I mentioned in my review I did a year ago, Their are four voice actor who would later on go and play the roles in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.

For many people they find this better than the sequel that came out three year later and I can agree with them that the sequel is garbage.

For this movie, I give it 4 wands coming out of in between of boobs (It happens in the movie.)

This can be seen on YouTube for all you people that can't find a copy of the movie.

Tune in Tomorrow as we watch a film from a legendary writer.

Saving Mr. Banks Review

Recently I saw the movie about making a movie, Saving Mr. Banks at the Regal Everett Mall Stadium 16 and it was a fascinating movie.

The Story is about Walt Disney trying to make with the guidance of P.L Travers the choices to make the movie based on the book.

Where do I begin to say how great the movie is? The comedic moments fit very well with some of the dramatic moments the movie offers and of course, the actors fit their roles perfectly with Tom Hanks playing Walt Disney and Emma Thompson as  P.L Travers.

I declare this movie to be my favorite film of the year and I can see myself a year from now watching this movie and loving it even more.

Go to your theater and see this, I guarantee you, you won't be disappointed.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 24

I watched another movie.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

From John Hughes, comes the next film in the Vacation series. This is one of my favorites to watch because of the slapstick, its memorable lines and it's great ending.

Clark Griswold wants to have the perfect family Christmas and most of the time it's doesn't happen.

Yea, It's really hard to describe the plot because of the reasons I can't describe.

One of those you have to see the series and you'll understand. But, if your planing to see this movie without see Vacation or European Vacation, This is worth the watch.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 23

This one is aired in a 24 hour loop right on Christmas day on TBS that most people can't get out of their heads or to the fact that they mute their TVs and just quote every line in the movie.

If you figured it out it's A Christmas Story.

The story all of you remember, but for those who don't here it is. All that Ralphie wants for Christmas is an Official Red Ryder Carbine Two Hundred Shot Model Range Air Rifle. But Everyone tells him he can't get it because he'll shoot his eye out.

This film is from Bob Clark (Director of Porky's) that brings the story based on the novel by Jean Shepherd who also does the narration of the story as an adult telling the story about Ralphie's Childhood.

This is a film that's so hard not to spoil for anyone who hasn't seen it, and yet it remains a great film that gains more followers with every year. So, what are you doing here? Go see the movie for yourself.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 22

I've just realized something. With this marathon I seeing more specials than I ever had before this idea of a 28 days marathon. The next Christmas movie I saw was...

It's a Wonderful Life from 1947 directed by Frank Capra.

The plot is about George Bailey, a business man that owns the town of Bedford Falls, on Christmas Eve contemplates suicide all because his money that was to be deposited went to the wrong person. As he meet a guardian angel that shows him a world if he was never born. And I'm going to stop their because the story is to good to spoil.

I love the style of cinematography the movie brings and it's beautiful message that so hard to resist.

the movie is available to watch for free on YouTube but who knows how long the thing will stay up for.

6 more days to go, so keep it here.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 21

Here's another movie I wanted to see around Christmas time, but never got to.

This is Irving Berlin's White Christmas

Two men who were in the military during WWII, have a successful business because they live for singing and dancing. One day, they meet up with another pair that does singing and dancing and they decide to take a trip to Vermont for Christmas. As they go to say at a lodge that has finance trouble, our heros decide to to do a performance to attract business.

I must say, The movie have a very good plot line, they songs that Bing Crosby and the cast sing are some of the greatest songs from Irving Berlin and overall, it honestly worth the watch.

It pays off big time for the musical. As for me, I dream of a white Christmas here and you should to.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 20

I watched The Santa Clause

With this movie, it's about Tim Allen and how seeing Santa went through an accident, he puts on the suit and he has to accept the role as the new Santa Clause. Then as a year goes by, Scott grows a beard and then gets fattened which in turn causes his friends and family to wonder if he is out of his mind.

I do give it this much, the story was at lest watchable even with a few Christmas puns thrown in their.

The sequels I haven't seen them but the second one was mixed and then the third one is panned by them. But, sometime I follow what most people say about movies.

Monday, December 16, 2013

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 19

I honestly don't know where to begin this.

Mrs. Santa Clause

The story is about Mrs. Clause trying to tell her husband to take a different route but he is to occupied with the Christmas rush to deal with matters like that. So, she decides to take the sleigh out and is forced to land in New York and did I forget to mention this takes place in 1910. Well, it does. from that point it deals with political stuff like child labor and women's suffrage.

I can say this is an okay premise, but it seems that this is one special that i'll watch once and then never see it until five years.

Sunday, December 15, 2013

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 18

just wait until next Sunday and then we'll be at the end of this marathon. But, for now we've got a movie to watch.

Beauty and the Beast The Enchanted Christmas

this is one of the direct to video movies from the company the brought the movie Beauty and the Beast, Disney.

The plot is Belle decides to warm the castle up with the spirit of Christmas. Despite of the beasts misunderstanding of the holiday. Then you got the antagonist who is a pipe organ played by Tim Curry, the beast listens to that doesn't want the Beast to celebrate the season to be jolly.

This feels really improved over the time this was made and it gives more detail on the spell the enchantress placed on the castle.

I give this movie 4 Tim Curry Pipe Organs out of 5

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 17

Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas

This special has a total of 3 stories mashed into one 65 minute movie from Disney. It shows a lot about the meaning and the spirit of Christmas.

The first story is called Stuck on Christmas.

The Premise is about Huey, Dewey, and Louie who love Christmas so much that they wish on a star that it was Christmas everyday. The idea is sort of similar to Groundhog Day and Christmas Every Day. and much like Groundhog Day, the boys must learn their lesson the hard way.

Second, A Very Goofy Christmas

Max and Goofy enjoy the holiday, but Pete tells Max that Santa doesn't exist as he learns that most of the time, we trust what we can't see.

and finally, Mickey and Minnie's The Gift of the Magi

It's really hard for me to tell you about this but I'll try. Mickey is a poor person who wants to buy Minnie a necklace for her watch and Minnie works at a department shop and wants to buy a case for Mickey's harmonica. I've never read the story but the way the interpret the story it works out.

I'm aware that their is a sequel to this done in CGI, but the only one of the top of my head I can remember is the one where Huey, Dewey, and Louie go up to the North Pole to get off Santa's Naughty List. and that's just about it.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 16

I've waited months to talk about this one and now it's day 16 and we are going to talk about this. today I witnessed...

The Polar Express

I honestly loved this movie when I first saw it on ABC and it became a movie i'd watch every December, so what is the story for this one.

it's based off the book of the same name by Chris Van Allsberg and I've haven't read the book, but from what i heard it stays close the story. A boy who we shall call Edward (Because the kid's name isn't mention in the book nor the movie.) is off to the north pole to see Santa Clause to see if he is real because Edward doesn't believe he's real. Through out the movie it does lead into Edward's fully believing but I won't ruin irt here for you.

I got to admit, this movie has a lot of great angles and great motion capture from the actors. The performers do very impressive with the lines they are giving and how they say them.

This movie is available on Nextflix for everyone to watch,so if you want Tom Hanks in another Robert Zemeckis. This one is worth 1 hour and 39 minutes of your time.

Thursday, December 12, 2013

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 15

here we are, day 15 of our marathon and I took a look at a great piece of Christmas entitled, Miracle on 34th Street from 1947.

This is my first time viewing this so some plot elements might slip through but hopefully it wont happen.

Kris Kringle looks like an ordinary man that has a white beard, but he speaks the truth that he is Santa Clause. which leads the staff at Macy's confused on if they should believe him or not. One of the stick on the mud characters doesn't believe so but I won't spoil who that character is.

I gotta tell you, I didn't expect to feel so invested in this. This honestly caught me by surprise, it's story was fluent, the actors did a great deal of effort while they were preforming, and it felt like i was done with the movie within minutes.

This is defiantly worth a watch around Christmas time whenever you have time on your hands.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 14

Today we take a look back in the year 2000 when Arthur (a Show on PBS) was on it's peek of being a global success.

Their haven't been much Christmas episodes for Arthur, so WGBH said, "You want a Christmas episode? Well, Here's a 54 minute special for all you Arthur fans out their."

and thus we got Arthur's Perfect Christmas.

The story sometimes is centered around Arthur. Other times it's focused on Baxter or even Muffy and Francine. Let's begin with Arthur's first since it beings that way. Arthur gets his mother a glass bird that he accidentally broke while chasing D.W. with alligator gloves. then the special decides to add a character similar to Cousin Eddie from the vacation movies called Uncle Fred and later on he tells Arthur the true meaning of Christmas. Next, we got the story of Buster Baxter's mother waking Buster early in fact 3 days because after the divorce the Buster's mom went through it cause her to be like this, that's when his friends step in and say why don't you create your own holiday and Buster is like OK. Finally, Muffy is trying to invite Francine to her party but she celebrates Hanukkah and of course Muffy ignores that part of what Francine said.

To be honest, I felt like I was a kid again watching this because it was the one thing I would watch on PBS every year. Arthur has been going downhill for quite a while, but I'm glad I'm not watching the newer arthur. Something never felt right on the animation in the newer seasons.

I got a link to this that you can watch, i seem to be lucky this year finding links to nearly every specials i'm finding.

Stay tuned tomorrow and we'll take a look at another movie.

Tuesday, December 10, 2013

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 13

We got a film that has already been reviewed by another critic. in Which I want to talk to you guys about, Today's movie is... Annabelle's Wish.

This one is sort of talked about online and most people bring this movie up when ever they talk about Christmas specials. But, we aren't here to waist time talking about what people talk about. Let's get to this movie.

A calf name Annabelle is born on the day before Christmas and one of her dreams is to become a reindeer. then your introduced to a young boy named Billy who cannot talk and gets teased by two bullies. while also his aunt wants to adopt him all because she thinks the farm is not safe for him.

Yea, I don't know what else to say about this movie than. The reviews are positive and a lot of the story is pretty good, especially with the voice actors.

This believe it or not, is actually up online, so you can take a look at why it's a good special.

Monday, December 9, 2013

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 12

We now jump into the feature length movie that relate to Christmas.

Today we have, Olive, The Other Reindeer

Made by Matt Groening (The creator of The Simpsons) take the idea to combing paper like animation with CGI. What resulted was this movie.

Santa cancels his trip all because Blitzen injured his leg while doing flight practice. This gets the mailman played by Dan Castellaneta, filled with joy because he's sick and tired of delivering mail around the Holiday. Olive decides to go the the North Pole to help out and... I gonna stop right their because it's hard to describe the ending.

This is worth the 45 minutes and will defiantly keep your children occupied.

Sunday, December 8, 2013

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 11 Part 3

Continuing until we see the last Christmas Special right until we start the movies.

Next we have a special from a series called, The Wonder Years entitled, A very Cutlip Christmas

Arnold finds out his gym teacher is Santa while he was at the mall and in order to keep his job a secret, he tells arnold to keep the job a secret and... it just filled with joy I just can't describe in this review.

Next we got, A Pinky and the Brain Christmas

I have to admit, I've seen a little bit of Pinky and the Brain but not too much, but it still works sort of the same way Animaniacs does. Brain wants to send hypno-toys everyone in the world so that the brain can finally take over the world. Their are a lot of great jokes and I tell ya, they are unforgettable. Their is a link to this if you want to see it.

Third we got, The Night of the Meek

This episode is the one focused on Christmas and it's worth a watch. The story of a department Santa who is drunk and just wants to spread some Christmas cheer to all the children without being too commercial. I honestly don't know where to begin with this Christmas special so I'll just give you guys the link and we will be on our way.

Fourth, Santa Mama

Their is no point talking about this show without showing you the theme song. OK now we can get to the story of this, Thelma is not in the mood to celebrate Christmas as Vinton is hired as the Mall Santa so that they can make some money. But, when Vinton's voice goes out for trying to perfect Santa's laughing, it's up to Mama to fill in the shoes and you can watch the episode from that point on.

Fifth, Christmas Everyday and A Rocket X-Mas

Let's talk about Christmas Everyday first. Timmy Turner (played by Tara Strong) enjoys Christmas so much that he wishes that it was Christmas Everyday, but it goes all wrong by the third week as every other holiday Easter Bunny, Baby New Year, Cupid and 2 others decide to go to the north Pole and steal Santa's powers so that every other holiday is better than Christmas. This was mentioned in TheFerbguy's Top 12 Greatest Christmas specials as #11 if I remember correctly. Well, you get my point this is a great special (well, much better that A Fairly Odd Christmas.) this episode can be found on Watch Cartoon Online Which the link is right here and give a reason why you love noggy.

A Rocket X-Mas

I don't have the memory of watching Rocket Power, but at least I remember the intro. OK, what is the premise on this one.
Ray sees a long board in a sports shop as Reggie and Otto decide to surprise Ray by getting the board by walking dogs.
I honestly Can't explain or give away what happens in the end, so this is another one to watch when you've got the spirit in you. Also, Here's the link to the episode (But, I don't know how long it'll be there.)

And finally, A Woodland Critters Christmas

This was a South Park Christmas special about the Woodland Critters as they are preparing for Porcupiney's birth of their savior and enlist in Stan's help to make sure their holiday goes smoothly and... I should stop right here because their are a lot of twists and turns in this episodes that would just give away what happens in this. This episode and other episodes of South Park are watchable at South Park Studios. But, I'll give you the link so that you can watch the episode.

well, that about does it for me today. stay tuned as we now jump into the Christmas movies.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 11 Part 2

This is one of the last short Christmas special i'm looking at and then i'll get to the movies.

and this last Christmas special is...

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Animated Version)

i watched this delight around the season because its Dr. Seuss. nearly everything he does is a masterpiece. and this is one of his finest.

the story is the Grinch hates Christmas and plans to get rid of Whoville's celebration of the holiday. Its a simple premise for both kids and adults. a lot of the songs are memorable and Boris Karoff's naration and voice acting are really impressive.

Why waste your time reading this i'm sure you have a copy of the movie, so go check it out.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 11 Part 1

This is one day i've been looking forward to since the day I decided to do these written reviews.

We are looking at...

Rankin/Bass Specials. you all know which ones i'm talking about, Frosty The Snowman, The Little Drummer Boy, Santa Clause is Coming to Town, Rudolph The Red-nosed Reindeer and so many I cannot keep count.

I've watched these when I was young and never doubt it for a second. They would be on CBS and ABC Family for everyone to watch with joy and glee. Some people like it, others don't.

and yet, I can't even write my thoughts on these because its one of those movies you have to see to believe.

take my word for it.

I'll be back with something. Keep it here.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 10

This one I've sort of been holding out on because you all know this is one of my all time favorite shows. And that show is Phineas And Ferb, and the special we are looking at is Phineas and Ferb's Christmas Vacation.

The Story is Phineas and Ferb plan on making the town a huge thank you card to Sana because Phineas looks up to him as a hero and a legend. But, what would this show be without our semi-aquatic egg laying mammal of action? Perry is after Doofenshmirtz because he has build a naughty-inaor that can make the whole Tri-State Area naughty. At least, from the elves perspectives. and Candace is trying to figure out what to give to Jeremy for Christmas.

It's hard to say what my favorite parts are because their are a lot of great moments that got me laughing. I of course, love the songs that are in this, like I really don't Hate Christmas, Got the Christmas Feeling, and Christmas is Starting Now.

If you watch Disney Channel or Disney XD, go and look up the listings and see when this is on.

But, I'm about to cary over to a much bigger pile of Christmas specials that most of us had to of grown up with.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 9

Today we are looking at All of the Malcolm in The Middle episodes that relate to Christmas.

First, Christmas

Lois decides to take Christmas away because they boys get into trouble every year, while Francis has to be with their grandmother on Christmas because Francis lives near her. This time, the boys have to behave until the day and Francis changes the heart of the grandmother wile giving revenge in the end.

Second, Christmas Trees

Hal gets two weeks vacation unpaid and gets this idea to sell Christmas trees while Francis and his girlfriend have to deal with Otto's family that actually makes Francis feel homesick and then Lois has to find a squirrel to prove to Craig that it doesn't have rabies. Where do i begin to say haw funny this episode is? For starters, their a church that sends bums to ruin Hal's temp job and then the bums as well as the workers at Lucky Aid have to find the squirrel while we hear the little drummer boy play in the background. Defiantly a hilarious episode to watch around the holiday season.

and finally, Hal's Christmas Gift

Lois gets into a car wreckage with another lady and they decide to spend no money on Christmas and make the gifts by hand. but Hal thinks that his family would just pass them up as he takes the family including Francis and his girlfriend, to but Hal some time to think of a gift for the whole family. I have to admit that I was laughing my head off at some of the moments like, The car wrecking scene and Hal slipping on a tiny puddle of oil and then jump into the glass.

Taking a look at all of these reminds me of why I love this show and it's comedic influence on me.

If you guys have Netflix the entire series for Malcolm in the Middle is free to watch whenever you like. I guarantee you, you be laughing for quite a while.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 8

this is the last full 22-minute special i'm looking at from Dreamworks. Also, I'll talk about the shorts that they made that either came exclusive to DVD or was featured before the movie in its original theatrical run.

The first special we are going to talk about is Shrek the Halls.

The special focuses on Shrek trying to set up the first Christmas he ever had in his entire life. It begins in the summer with his babies as Donkey does his usual antics while talking to Shrek about Christmas. Then after two minutes, Shrek goes to a book store to pick up a for dummies book on how to celebrate Christmas as he leaves to set up literally on, Well Christmas. Later on donkey brings everyone on board to celebrate the holiday while Shrek tries to tell Twas The Night Before Christmas to the 3 ogre babies. I don't unfortunately see a link to Shrek the Halls,  but if you do see the short air on ABC or even have the DVD, go and give it a watch.

With that said, let's get on with our short, The Madagascar Penguins in A Christmas Caper.

This came before Wallace and Gromit: the Curse of The Were-rabbit during the theatrical run and then later released on the Madagascar DVD a month later... or somewhere along the lines,

The short is about Private going out to find a Christmas present for a lonely polar bear named ted but a mean old lady who is shopping for a toy for her pet Mr. Chew and it's up to other three penguins to save him. i have to admit, after all of these years I still find the short to be hilarious as it was when I saw this in the theaters. It's also available on Netflix if you want to look that up. just search Dreamworks Holiday Classics and you can see the short as well as a bunch of others.

Stay with us as we got only got 20 days until we wrap up this festive holiday marathon.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 7

I outta tell you, as we enter the 7th day of the marathon. I start to think if this marathon was a good idea to begin with because With all of the schoolwork and everything else going on, one of these days i might forget to do a review for the marathon. But it honestly doesn't matter, here's day 7 as we are looking at one of Dreamworks holiday specials.

Today's special comes from the movie Madagascar, which has 3 sequels, a short with another movie, and a Christmas special. It's Merry Madagascar for day 7 and i'm loving it.

It's a simple story, The gang are trying to get off the island for 100th time already this time they are setting up a hot air balloon to carry them to New York. But, of course King Julien mistakes them for a mysterious spirit that flings coal at them but when they do see that actual thing they shot Santa Clause down as he bonked his head during the crash and doesn't remember a thing. now it's up to Alex, Marty, Gloria, and Melman to deliver the presents along with the penguins who has their own spin-off show on Nickelodeon.

now, I'm not going to give anything away with this specials and luckily this special is on Netflix if you have the streaming service.

Take care and hopefully I got something to talk to you for tomorrow.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 6 Part 2

This is the second part of Day 6 of the 28 days of Christmas and I've got a classic one for you.

It's called, A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Easy classic for both kids and adults, you have to admit it. You watched this every December, every year. The story is Charlie Brown feeling like the Christmas message has lost all of it's seasonal glitter. But, Lucy suggests that he should be the director of the school play and time takes it toll, right ? Wrong, he still doesn't find the meaning until the very last act. and I won't give away what happen at the very end. this is yet another one that airs on ABC every year and is well known by everyone. I don't have a link to the special but, if you got this on VHS or DVD or whatever you got this movie on. go ahead and watch it. A classic masterpiece.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 6 Part 1

I hoped you enjoyed the torture that TheFerbguy has gone through in this month's review. but, now it's time to get back to viewing Christmas specials. This time it was one that I've watched last night but unfortunately i didn't have enough time to write and decided to tell you today.

With that said let's talk about the next special, you know the voice of Chris from Dan Vs. is in this special and that series is...

Prep and Landing and Prep and Landing: Naughty Vs. Nice

first let's talk about Prep and Landing.

For 227 years, Wayne (played by Dave Foley) has been working the elite crew known as Prep and Landing, Which deals with making sure the house is ready for Santa's arrival. He hopes this year he gets a promotion to head of the naughty list. But, he doesn't make the cut as he has to train a rookie named Lanny. and of course Wayne just doesn't feel the Christmas spirit as he literally kicks back and lets Lanny do all of the work. I'm all interested in telling you the full detail what happens, but best not get carried away.

Now, Let's talk about it's sequel Prep and Landing: Naughty Vs. Nice.

Before P and L can come in to help Santa, another team come in called The Coal Elf Brigade which specializes in checking houses to see if their is any naughty children. But, their device is stolen by a hacker that looks like Darth Vader's goofy brother. and a year later, it's up to Wayne, Lanny and Wayne's younger brother Noel (a coal elf) to go and get back the device.

With this special, it sort of makes me understand about brotherhood. I've always looked up to my older brother. He's really smart and has a really good attitude and I wall always look at him as someone who I look up to.

Now, I'm not going to give anything away from this special because it honestly hard to describe this.

Unfortunately, their are no links to these specials that you guy can watch. But, if you watch ABC every year for Christmas specials, you may want to check your local listings to see when they will air. or If you got the Prep and Landing Totally Tinsel Collection on DVD you can watch it that way.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 5

As we enter day 5 of this marathon and the fact that i reminded myself tomorrow to upload this month's review. I though back on the first original series I watched when it aired on The Hub. That show is... Dan Vs. This was an animated series that began at the beginning of 2011 and it had a very simple premise. Every episode would begin normally with Dan doing his usual everyday things until one tinny tiny situation ignited Dan's inter anger that he seeks revenge.

On this day, I re-watched Dan Vs. The Mall Santa.

The story is simple, Dan and Chris get jobs working at a mall in the creator's version of Santa's Workshop. Chris having the role as a snowman and Dan as an elf. Later does Dan find out that this Santa is a jerk, he hates Christmas all because he didn't get a action figure when he was young. This happens to be one of my favorite episodes from this series and I don't know where The Hub is going with this show, but they better bring this back for a 4th season.

Take yourselves a Look at Dan Vs. The Mall Santa and see why it's a festive treat of revenge.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 4 part 2

This is part 2 of day 4 of my 28 days of Christmas marathon. For this part, i'm taking another look at a special i'd haven't seen in a long time. And that is...

SpongeBob SquarePants: Christmas Who

This double-length episode tells the story of how Bikini Bottom celebrates Christmas though our favorite pirate and president of the SBSP Fan Club, Patchy the Pirate. Seeing this episode again it brought back all the times i'd laugh at the episode. Clearly SpongeBob at it's finest (before they went into what am I even Looking at?!? territory.)

It really is a festive treat to watch every year if you can. As for a link on YouTube, their is none. but on a different site, yes. Watch Cartoons Online has this episode and they have it right here. Christmas Who? Because who wouldn't want to watch Spongebob on Christmas. Well, at least not like It's a Spongebob Christmas. (seriously what was up with the show now a days?)

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 4 part 1

If i'm to watch all of the Christmas specials that i can get my hands on, it make it fitting that I watch more than one everyday.

With that said let's begin day 4 with this watch, Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean.

Mr. Bean is a British show on BBC in the early 90's, in the 13th episode which happens to be the Christmas episode, a lot of silent gags ensues. Their are many sub plots in this episode for instance, Bean playing with the nativity scene like a G.I Joe play set, having a turkey stuck on his head while digging for his watch, and getting a gift for his girlfriend (which I won't give away.)

I love Rowan Atkinson for his betrayal of Mr. Bean and a lot of what he does for that character are his trademarks, he's an adult but has this child like mind. This happens to be another episode that you can watch for free up on the official Mr. Bean YouTube page, So, Here's the Link. and enjoy the comedy of Mr Bean.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 3

it took me a while to find which special to watch, ranging from Elf on the Shelf to even Hoops and Yoyo Ruin Christmas. But, in the End i did watch a Christmas special i haven't seen since middle school. So, for day 3 of my viewings of christmas i watched...

The Berenstain Bears' Christmas Tree.

This special launched Stan and Jan's franchise into Television starting in 1979, weeks before the 80's.

The story is about Papa Q. Bear wanting to get a giant tree out of the forest instead of wanting to buy a tree from a lot. It's hard for me to explain this since I'm beginning to write January's episode for next month, so i found this special on YouTube and I'll provide you a link to it so that you may watch it. See you guys tomorrow for the next short review.

TheFerbguy's 28 Days of Christmas Day 1 and 2

Hello everyone, This is Sammy Summers creator of TheFerbguy and all throughout December in honor of a insane holiday. I'm giving each and everyone of you, the viewers of my reviews, a review marathon that the idea has hit me after I've done The Land Before Time Month and that is... I watched a lot of holiday specials when I was growing up and seeing how this will be my 17th Christmas I'd figured. How about I watch as much Christmas specials and movies all on the holiday we all know and love.

Keep yourselves strapped to your monitors because we are beginning this list.

The first movie I watched was...

TFg Holiday Marathon #1 Die Hard.

While many of you viewers maybe against seeing this movie around the holiday season I found it to be a blast. Bruce Willis plays an off-duty police officer from New York in LA to spend a quiet Christmas with but things get complicated when a terrorists come in to steal money and blow up the building with C4s. i tell ya a lot of action and a lot of memorable lines that you'll never forget.

Next on the holiday specials I've watched is a masterpiece and art of music.

TFg Holiday Marathon #2 The Snowman

This short can easily be found on YouTube and you could just watch it for your self and see why is a great art. But let me tell you my opinion on this one.

It's based off a book by Raymond Briggs telling the tale of a little boy building a snowman in his backyard. when at the stroke of midnight, the snowman comes to life and the boy shows him around the house. to be more entertaining, the snowman decides to fly to the north pole to visit a snowman party. Jut the score and visuals make it feel relaxing. I don't wanna give anything away so, if you want to, go on to YouTube and look up the Snowman or Here's the link to the short and here's to bringing of the next specials on to the next stuff I watch.

See you guy later.

Kick-Ass 2 Review

I went and I saw it the Sequel to Kick-Ass. Now, I come out of the movie recently so I'll make this quick so that I can work on my next review. In the second film, Dave (or in hero form as Kick-Ass) is learning about a underground team of superheros as they do some good for the community ran by Colonel Stars and Strips (Played by Jim Carrey) and if I have to say one thing about Jim's Character, I love it!!!

But you also mustn't forget Christopher Mintz-Plasse's character Chris (or in villain form as The MotherF***er, and yes that's his villain name.) as he sets up a gang to get revenge at Kick-Ass.

This movie is a very interesting one, but it's not bad, Despite it getting 28% by critics on Rotten Tomatoes while the audience gives it 80%.

You can put me on the audience side of Rotten Tomatoes.

It's best if you watch the first film, then give this a chance.

I'm TheFerbguy and maybe I might review some more movies if I see a Film I'm interested in.

Turbo (2013) Review

About a day ago I want to my theater on opening day to go see Turbo with a friend who I don't see often. The story of Turbo is about this snail who winds getting powers of a full fledged racing car (because he went into a drag race car and drank some Nitrous oxide). when getting caught by Tito (a member of the Dos Bros tacos stand) and puts them in a race where Turbo or Theo as he was formally called winds up getting put on a bet to see who's the fastest snails in an old lot and believe me Turbo wins as the others see his speed to be an astonishing power of his as Tito decides if they sponsor him and put in the Indy 500, their lot will be well promoted and saved from instinction. The story is actually told pretty well, It's characters were pretty well designed, and the comedic moments are pretty funny. Now, without spoiling the rest of the story for you. It's worth a look for if you got the money and the time to watch because it's certainly Turbo-tastic!
